It’s kind of funny because I made the first comic in under a month, but it’s been taking me 4 years to make the second comic. In the first comic, I got to draw Dick and Donnie fucking, which was just fun for me. Then, I have no respect for them, so I didn’t care how they looked. However, in this episode, I had to draw soldiers protesting against war. I respect those people very much. I had to draw war-torn Iraqi children. I respect them and pity them so much that I spent almost two years drawing one page full of them, crying while looking their photos in the eyes as I tried to draw them. I could never capture the tragic beauty of their all-too-wise eyes. Nor could I erase the eyes of the kids I created in trying to convey what I saw in theirs. I had to draw unfunny images and consider how fictitiously altruistic Rumsfeld and Cheney would deal with it all. I only have a few pages left, so it should finally be done soon. In the mean time, here are a few fun previews of what’s to come 🙂
